Looking good man. I like them better without the vent windows. Funny how the older trucks have no vent windows and people say the truck would look too new without them.

2nd series 47 thru 50 pickups had no vent windows and look great, I would go with no vent, but it's your pickup, do what YOU WANT, not what we say.

Right now I'm definitely leaning towards no vent window

Are you gonna have AC? If not, the vent windows are an easy decision.

I think it looks better without them and they get in the way of my long arm resting on the window. Catch 22 i guess.

If you have a cowl vent and open the windows you get plenty of airflow through the cab without having vent windows. No big loss there. Having the cowl vent open and the windows down gives you plenty of airflow without the wind whipping you to death. Air comes in through the cowl vent and from under the dash and out through the windows instead of in through the windows and hitting you in the head.

On my truck I want to remove the vents, and after seeing your top I want to chop it. 3" make a big difference, looks great man.

I'm thinking no vent windows... But I will cut them down a little and see how it looks! After all I can make one cut and mock up and who doesn't love a mock up? Haha

Friggin snow in Mississippi... Spun out twice on the way to work this morning and the second time landed me in the ditch. 45 minutes of digging and help from the one person who drove by and my tacoma was out of the ditch and back on the road. Lightweight trucks don't handle very well on icy roads haha. No damage and I'm fine, just a little angry since I was one of three people to show up this morning...

Just a little rant... more updates tonight! I'm trying to decide if I'm going to make a kustom grill or not, so tonight I'll probably clean the grill up so it stands out a little better and then I'll make my decision.

Why? it happens like once every few years... if my truck wasn't so light I wouldn't have the problem...

Between the snow and wind chill I haven't gotten much done... I did spend a little while wire brushing the grill a little while ago. I wanted to clean it up so it would stand out from the rest of the crusty truck.

Does anyone have any 15" steel wheels with a 5x4.75 bolt pattern? Just plain ol stock style wheels that will take hubcaps. Not rally type! Please help!!!

I asked because some of those hubcaps will only fit a deep style steel wheel. I was going to suggest cheap easy to find white wagon wheels. A couple black rattle cans and you're in business.
