Damn, that In n out looks like a cool place.

We've got Sonics around here. I like their food pretty well. Its one of the few fast food joints I will voluntarily go to.

    Fuckin' White Castle SUCKS.
I was gonna go into some details, but they have already been abundantly covered. I will add that it really is odd that it smells the same going in as it does coming out... I can't even stoop to callin' that shit FOOD. [IMG] (wheres the barf icon when ya need it)

We have a place around here called Krystal...
They got something called a Krystal pup which is like a miniature fuckin hot dog or something. I'm not too sure. After about shitting myself to death from eating at White Castle ONCE....I'm too skeeert to try any friggen Krystal pups.

I would like to order an IN N OUT flying dutchman. That would be so cool to just eat a handful of meat with no bun or anything....be like a damn caveman.

I posted the in-n out webpage at work, and us guys that used to work in Van Vuys, had tears in our eyes! The Sonic's out here are shit, the drinks are good but those soggy things they call burgers arn't fit for dogs. We lived about 5 miniutes from the first In-N Out,on Roscoe+Woodman. We have Backyard Burgers here, that is fairly decent, but no In-N Out's [IMG]

We have Philibertos here for all that carne asada taco stuff and super cool breakfast burritos, damn, 3 more hours and I think I know what I'm having. Anyway, I think they started in CA but started some taco joints here and there was a riff in the family, something like cousin Tommy wanted to start one but Phil didn't dig that so Tommy started Tommybertos and cousin Rudy started Rudybertos and Uncle Lloyd started Lloydbertos and of course nephew Dave started Davebertos.....
I hope In n Out maintains its "basic" vibe, every month they open a new one somewhere in the Phx area, I wouldn't blame Cal folks for being upset, but those burgers are gooood. Oh yeah, give me a Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carls anyday. Whataburger is always good too. I think Taco Bell is still good, just wish they stuck to there OLD menu, you know, TRADITIONAL enchiritos and Bell Beefers! Then again, salads are always nice.

Hank, I know it should remind me of Happy Days or The Outsiders or something...

...but for some reason, I picture Roger. Dwayne and Re-Run sitting around that joint!

"Yo, Shirl...gimmie a double cheeseburger, basket of fries and a Coke!"

"What's this look like to you, Fool?!? A RESTURANT???!!!"

Somebody tell me WHY that show isn't still on the air??? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

There is a Dog N Suds in Montague Michigan.
There is a place in Traverse City Michigan that I like to go to. I think that it is called Don's or something like that. They have excellent shakes and the burgers are good too!!

  19. Dog and Suds Root Beer is very good root beer. My dad grew up with it in Ft Myers, FL. Loves the stuff still.

Used to be able to buy it around here. No more.

Wish I had me one of those In & Out burgers.

Little Coffee Shop in Manor, PA makes the "Manor - Monster" Biggest burgers I've ever seen. My buddy ate half a friggin double once. He's a freak of nature.

Talking about burgers does seem right.

Now I wonder what's for lunch?

There is a closed Dog & Suds ( we called them Mutts & Sluts) in a small town here. It looks like they just locked the doors ,everything is still there like you could open tomorrow.
I prefer Sonic ,A footlong chilli cheese dog with double onions is almost better than SEX. Anyone that will offer Tator Tots with chilli & cheese is tops in my book.
Our Hardees sucks, dirty ,poor service and grease burgers are their offerings. Hell I'd rather eat at Subway . I had White Castle a few years ago In New York . I always wondered what the packing houses here did with the crappy beef, now I know.

5&Diner is pretty good too...go try one.

  22. "I eat at In-n-out twice a week, always will. "

You suck!!! [IMG], Can you send me some? I am getting hungry now.. why did I read this post, its only 7am and I need a burger..

  23. My wife and I had this conversation last night.....the real reason we are coming out to CA in the fall is for the Del Taco, Bakers, Carl's and In-n-out. I love the food here is Austin, but sure miss these!!!

today i found out Hardees is now selling the western bacon cheeseburger.
i loved these burgers when i lived in california and after moving out here i would look foward to having a delicious western bacon chessburger everytime i would return to visit,.
then when Carls Jr. bought out Hardees my hopes that i would be able to eat a western bacon cheesburger were i now call home were soaring! but then i quickly found out they had no plans on bringing the western bacon chesseburger here.
that was the only burger i wish they started selling,i even had my wife bring me one back on the plane once.but no,they didnt : so i guess its been like 3 or 4 years since the buy out and now they decided to make it. i even stopped by the local hardess today to see if it was true, and yes! its real,,i wasnt able to get one,its gonna have to wait till tommorow.
    keep your fingers crossed !

Can't eat burgers, have an allergy to beef and related products.

My friends pops does make a killer burger alternative with venison and ground chicken. I'd never go back to burgers anyhow, after that. Buffalo burgers rule.

Now THAT is the Scoob that I went to college with. [IMG]

    Buffalo burgers do kick ass.

In and Out is awesome! I had my first on my hot rod SoCal vacation last fall. I'm hooked! Not sure when I will make it back to cali, but I know where I'm making a stop when I go to Viva in the spring...

We just got a Baja Fresh and I love it. It reminds me of SoCal whenever I go and order a fish taco. Discovered them while in Venice. I forget where though. South of Pico somewhere. At least twice last year, I'd run to Baja fresh, grab some fish tacos and throw Endless Summer in the DVD player. Can you be homesick for a place you've only visited twice?? [IMG]

There's a good place north of you in Conneaut or Oil City, can't remember which one. Its an original A&W drive-in. Used to go there when my parents would go to Conneaut park from Cleveland. Damn good food, I remember.

One thing I hate about the East Coast is how hard it is to find good mexican food. No fish taco stands, only a few burrito joints (Frisco Burrito in Towson gets my business regularly), and most resautrants end up being bland and toned down for the local taste buds.

Django - what do you think is the 1st thing I do every year?? [IMG], then I usually hit it about eveyday I am there sometimes twice a day.. We will have to make a run during Viva..

Wooohoohoo....now there's one that's gettin' put in the Ol' Book of Good Regular Phrases.

My dad always referred to car that skanked inside as "Smells like a French whore....". Never did a French whore, but I always thought it was a tricky phrase.

"Colder than a witch's tit...." - a regular coming from my gramma.

Modern speech lacks classic literary wit..... [IMG]
