Well some of you will remember that 53 chevy my father in law tried to get me for 6000. When i bought the 58 olds I told him the deal was off.

Well today he started talking shit and ended his banter with "I've been thinking of throwing a few 100 bucks into it and driving by your house and rapping the pipes just to make you jealous".

Tonight I went and looked at a 53 Bel Air 4 door with the 235 and powerglide trans. The car is complete as complete can be. All the trim, the engine and everything with it (radiator, carb, distributor, oil filter, starter etc). Just missing a battery. All the windows are with it just not on. The front windhsield is cracked, no biggie. I saw 1 dent toal in the front fender and 1 spot of rust in the rear on the corner closest to the tire. Needs new floor pans more than likely, saw a few pinholes.

Engine turns by hand but might need a new starter. I hooked up a battery and did the ol screw driver check and it sparked but didnt make any noise or move.

$500 bucks. Paid a $100 deposit and got a bill of sale and hold for 1-2 weeks.

    Sound like a good deal?

Now I just need to sell the 58!

I will have pictures when I pick it up.
