Todays finds- anybody recognize them?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by cougardan, Mar 2, 2004.

  1. Came home with some new treasures. An awesome ruby gl*** lense that I hope will make a taillight for the Triumph. I'd like to find a bezel for it. It has a marking K-D 517.
    About 3 3/4" long.

Then a set of five hubcaps, I'm guessing Olds? They measure almost 10" across.

    Thanks, Dan

Check older English sports cars, MG and Triumph. That lens could be off one of those. Looks a bit like a TR4 or 6.

Where do you find all this stuff Dan? You've got to take me with you some time!!

  6. Jake, all you gotta do is call. There's still goodies where these came from.

As far as the hubcaps go, I think Crestliner is right. I didn't find any pics of ones identical to these but the design in the middle shows up on other 57's. I don't have any plans for these so I'll post them on the cl***ifieds.

Now for the light lense. I've figured out what it is and I want to keep a lid on it- for a future Tech week post.

    I confer.
TR-3, TR-4, MGA, Some ACs, early Spitfire, etc.
If you flip it so the part you have looking at the cieling is at the rear then it'll fit the British standard Lucas tail light housing used by damn near every car maker in the 50's including Bentley.
