  3. I had an employee call to say he would be late because he had a flat and he was waiting on his grandpa to come change it. The end is near.

Our generation cut off our mufflers to make our car sound cool, your generation cuts off their wieners. We are NOT the same! Mark

Just got into it recently with an "expert" who told me '65 and '66 Fords looked identical. Called me a smart*** and if I really wanted proof, to check google. How do ya argue with logic like that?

These both happened on the same day, just this past Monday.:
I was at the carwash with my '57, and one of the 20-something employees told me the car was beautiful. He then asked what year, and I told him '57. He then asked. "Belaire?". I said no, Belaires are Chevies, this is a Ford. He replied, "I had no idea Ford made cars way back then."
After that, I went to the gas station, and went inside. When I came out, there was a guy looking at the car (for sale sign in the window). He said I'm really interested in your car, and asked what it was. I told him, and what I was wanting for it, He said, Wow, I was hoping to find a nice old car I could drive across country with for 10 grand, and in the same breath, have you seen the new Teslas with the engine in the back? Is this one (mine) in the back? I smiled and told him to have a nice day.

Can't hardly blame the kids. They aren't taught anything these days.

Texas57, I clicked "like" because I liked you sharing that story but there is nothing about that story I liked. At 5 years old my dad used to brag about me because I could identify any car that drove by with 99% accuracy! Now everything looks like my wife's silver Subaru and I have a hard time picking hers out from the 37 other silver Subarus in the store parking lot. Maybe I can't blame the kids...... Mark

Yeah it's a good thing the key fobs have a horn ****on, it helps to find the right one in the Walmart parking lot. :(

Grew up with a kid (william) across the street from me. He was 5/6 at the time and his dad had a repair shop next door to us. He could tell you the make of any car just by seeing it even if it was moving. Amazing.
