I have been on more than a few of these type missions. I usually come home empty handed but I always have to go. Atleast you come home with a story.

Maybe he is still hacking his way out of the forest. She told him it would take cutting some trees down to get it out. "Sonny, after you cut them trees down and cut them up and stack the wood you can pull the car out".

  8. Many times I find the chase and the hunt to be more exciting than the car!

It isn't a flathead V8, it's a hopped up banger. Said her husband brought it to WV from California in 1967. Much more info and history as well as pics to come soon

Not too bad. Patch panels are available for all the rusty bits.

This turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Glad it did not turn out to be VW with a fiberglass 40 ford nose...

    Badass, good start

  19. Yeah, I've built a bunch of Model A's so I am familiar with the sheetmetal patches available, but I will make my own for this one. It's got juice breaks, the lady says 40 Ford, non stock, but Banjo type rearend, very cool old done interior that I am going to just clean, tighten up, and use, and over all is a lot better than some Model A's I've built. Just because I never have, I plan to leave the banger in this one for now. Gonna take it all apart, clean everything up, make sure everythign is in good working order, paint it back a light powder blue, throw some 40 model steelies on it with caps and drive the***** out of it......ofcourse that is after I finish the two 54 Buicks I got going right now....lol

  28. Now I just can't wait to get to work on it. Got a few other irons in the fire first, but nothing like having something waiting......
