Tom Beatty Supercharger

Hi All,

I need some advice regarding the Tom Beatty supercharger my late father bought from Tom's shop back in the day. My father was an amateur racer and he bought and ***embled an engine that he was going to race or drag. I don't think he ever raced it though but instead got married and had kids and put the engine away in storage where it sat to this day.

But now has come the time to do something with this which is why I'm here posting this message. I've done some limited research and investigation but haven't really turned up much in terms of value and how best sell this piece of history.

I know that it has some historical significance and collectors would be interested in it. However, it is a bit unique or niche. Even those who are into the cl***ic hot rod era might not know of Tom Beatty. But those that do seem excited about it. I think even this forum had someone describing it as the "holy grail" find. Still, one man's gold can be another man's junk.

In any case, that's the end of the intro. So here's what I do know in terms of it's possible value. I know that Tom's belly racer with its engine and supercharger was sold at auction some years ago to the Henry Ford museum in Michigan for around $200k. But that was the whole body and engine which makes it really one-of-a-kind and really hard to compare to just the supercharger. I can't really find any other public mention of value for Tom Beatty stuff such as this.

I've contacted some automotive auction houses but got either no thank you or no response. I've also contacted a few in the engine after market world and gotten much of the same.

So now I turn to this community to see what it can tell me.
