I had the super fun of doing a good number of indoor shows end of the 50s an in too 60s pretty far.
Sure some were bigger and even 3 n 4 days long with lots of newspaper adds. But some were smaller, one day or 2,an mostly ,you'd say the in-click. I loved them all,the ones close by my house=Dinner Key/Coconut Grove had both types. Some years as many as 5 car shows a year. The smaller hotrod n custom shows were combine with other things=Cost less to put on, often only one day.
Atmosphere was a little closer for little shows,we kind of all knew each other from other shows.
Lighting could be harder to come by. El outlets went to sales booths=payed for them.
Skill level of photo guys, was all over the place, from poor to great, when it came too cars.
So just some way back facts for fun...
Loved the old pic's,even when not high skilled..

Alex still owned it, but it’s peak was 1952 or so…
