Fantastic shots. Imagine a day when you could just drop your loaded trailer at a hotel and not have to worry about anyone stealing it.
@Ryan - Again . . . Fantastic stuff! Note that 17 of these 30 images were shot at Bonneville / Wendover . . . while the other 13 were shot at a (dusty) Dry Lake. Also curious why all of these JPEG files were named "MickeyThompson_RecordAttempt_Tray1-nn_web.jpg" . . . perhaps they were in the same slide tray as the 1959 B'ville slides . . . ? ? ? - @HEMI32
Yep. And no clue on the naming… I’m assuming this roll was scanned after the Mickey Thompson roll and Larry forgot to change the file naming convention before moving on. I do that all the time and it makes sense - you get on a roll… in a rhythm… and miss a step.
Freudinger roadster wasn't yet lettered in the dry lakes shots. So many interesting details in these wonderful photos! Again, thanks for sharing.
I didn’t notice that until you mentioned it… So, the dry lakes event must have preluded Bonneville in ‘59.
More incredible photos Ryan, again Thank You! Ok, my 2¢, those photos are from 1956, numbers line up for Cobbs entry also for Freudiger roadster, 201 modified roadster was from UTAH. Also the blown flathead is in the Freudiger roadster & not the blown SBC which it had later on.
Ira Hassad Hemi powered T, featured in HRM Nov. '55, one with wrap around windshield, Ira's son Jim inherited the car, is red now, Ira kept modifying it from the 50s thru to 90s(?)
Ask and you shall receive... yes, I know the car you mean. Well done Jimmy, and thanks! https://www.jalopyjournal.com/?p=45198
