Very sad to hear this. I enjoyed watching his 1940 coupe get rebuilt after the garage fire as much as he did. R.I.P.
We will probably never see the likes of Mr. Medley in our life times again. At 70 yo I remember the cartoons and articles of and about him. No doubt he was sent to us to show us how to act in this hobby in order to encourage the younger generations to be a part of this hobby.RIP to a worthy icon.....................
I will always remember sitting on the curb at the 1972 Memphis talking for a half hour with Tom Medley and I shall always remember this gentleman. One of the originals. Hot Rod magazines first employee. R.I.P. Stroker, my friend.
Sad news for all of us who enjoyed his cartoons he will be missed. Symphathy to his family and close friends may he continue to be with us thru the newly redone coupe that many of us followed thru its rebuild after the fire. RIP Tom
Sad news, R.I.P. Mr Medley, met you at some recent LARS and you made me feel like you knew me for years. A true Gentleman. I will treasure your autographs

I never met him, but ALWAYS enjoyed his artwork. He will live on with many in all of his great work. You will be missed Mr. Medley.
I love browsing through old HRM's...His cartooning is always the first thing I zero in on. Here's the one you remember from December '48
