I don't have any detail shots. I found these on Ebay. never seen anything like them before. They are round cast aluminum with a 3/8 tapped hole in the back. The pipe needs a 90 deg. flat flare for the gasket to seal against. A 3/8 nut was welded inside the pipe using 5/16 rods to center it in the pipe. A stud with a jamb nut completes the connection. screws on...screws off.

I played around with using large freeze plugs as caps with a piece of rod welded across them to make them knock offs. Welding a bolt in the center and the nut welded in the pipe. I used to be able to buy sheet stock header gasket material from the speed shop for custom gaskets but I haven't tried lately.

They used to weld a pipe******* on the end and use a plumbers screw pipe cap but they would rust up. The speed secret of the day was to get brass screw caps.(plumbing supply) They won't rust up.

The sport coupe has the 2 bolt diamond caps like everyone else. I open them up every chance I get. [IMG]

I like the look of them running straight back under the car too, but I wanted them to be easy to get on and off. Gettin' old.
