My father had one when I was a kid. It had factory dual straight pipes that ran horizontally out of the engine cowling and alongside the grain tank. Boy was that a treat when he would fire it up inside our Quonset!!:D:D It made a nice bark when the governor would open up out in the field, more candy for the ears! You can hear one running if you youtube 510 Massey.

I've never seen a V-12 Ford, but a friend has an 800 4X4. It uses a Dodge Powerwagon rear and military wheels.

  6. i've been playing with the idea of doing a single seat international tractor rod. My cousin is going to give me the complette drivetrain out of a 50's international truck, straight 6 3 speed. i've always like the look of the forward swept international tractor grill with the lights up top. Hopefully in the spring when i get a new place witha shop i can start collecting parts for this build and get right to it.

Yeah. The Zephyr powered one is home made, but slick as can be. The Elenco was an aftermarket conversion, similar to the Funk V8s and straight 6s. Elencos used war surplus Power Wagon front axles with 16" Budds. Finding the axle and wheels is no problem. Finding the transfer case bits, though, is $pecial. A guy named Jacobs (I think) on the east coast owns the rights and is, to my understanding, reproducing them. The gray 2N sitting next to the Elenco with the wide fives is also a custom. It had lock outs and a Dana axle.

Cockshutts were also sold as Gambles, so if you see an ad for a Gambles, you know what it is.

Besides the M-M UDLX, there was another tractor, the Co-op, that was interesting. They had Chrysler flathead six cylinders (not sure if the ci was 230 or 250, or both), Clark? five speed trannies, and a two ton Dodge truck rearend. From what a friend of my father's said, it would flat scoot in 5th.
