Great post...Enjoy every minute you have with them. Some of the best times of my life were with my Dad and our cars.
Great pics. A memory to be shared for generations. Wish I had pictures of my Dad's ride in the Track Car when I was there taking care of him and quadraplegic brother a couple years ago. He was recovering from knee replacement surgery and is now 84. He did enjoy the ride, about 30 minutes of highway riding near his home in Tuscaloosa AL.
WOW..great memories for sure...But Gary, if your gonna put a top on that car your gonna need a hair cut :~) the mop is sticking out of the top. Congrats Brudda you deserve it
What the heck are Brenda and you jackin with???I know you don't have a stereo in there but you look like you are trying to dial in your favorite station??!!?? What's in that dash that has ya'll so captivated?? LOL!!!
Neat story about you and your dad. My dad was a product of the depression and never could understand my obsession with the cars and then I took him for a ride in my model A and he was absolutely Giddy. Glad I was able to take him for a ride in it also. I also get the rest of the family and extended family involved also.Doug
Good story!!---Mine are both gone now, but they both enjoyed rides in my roadster!!----Don Mom in 1929-----Mom & Dad in 1970
That is great......... Those photo's are priceless.... Just make sure your kid or someone takes you for a ride when your 81.......
Thats a great gift Gary..for all 3 involved. I cant wait to do the same thing for my parents.. Im thinking maybe it will get my 'ol man off his duff to build something too life is short..time to make it fun too
Thank to all for your replies, I had a blast for sure and as Oldpaint said, they are already telling their friends about it.
Good for you! That is how we pay them back for all the **** we put them through. Just wish my Dad was alive to help me with my build. At least my son is helping his old man build a piece of American iron instead of some foreign tuner junk.
I have no idea what we were looking for or at, our youngest boy was manning the camera at that point.
Great ride and great story. Wish I had my parents around to do the same. At least when I built my 39, I got to take my Grandkids for a ride. They were the talk of the neighborhood with their friends for a week.
How cool. Cherish the memories. I never got a chance to take my pop for a ride in any of my cars. Wow. What a great looking hot rod.
