I was reading through some old posts and read that tinbender had a cool way to chop the top on the '34.I have the roof off mine at this point but don't know where to go from here.I was thinking that you could remove the amount from the very top of the post then set the roof back on ,but not sure on the back. hopefully tinbender will show the way again. Thanks,Joe
The way mentioned is an excellent way to chop a 32'-4' pickup. When chopping the back panel take the rear window section out seperately so you can take the 2" or so portion out below the window above the beltline that way the rear window doesn't become a mail slot and is usable.
Do a search for " 33 Ford pick up chop, the easy way " That should help answer your questions. post any other questions you have and I'll walk you through it. it's an easy chop.
Ive read this........and its a very good way off chopping the 32-34 pickup. I especially like the way the doors were done, with the addition of material inside the door post. This is how I will be chopping mine. Good job Tinbender.
