just spoke with leon he is good, hes out of the town of joplin. lots of debris, but no damage. he will update when he gets Internet service.

Jeebus, we're getting pounded here in Dallas as well, Baseball size hail and heavy rains, tornados bouncing around everywhere.
And what just hit us is moving north east. Hopefully it will peter out before it gets there. Has anyone heard from SD? Hopefully he is on his way home. Just saw it's going more east than north

we can use some chain saws, bar oil, premix etc... please get in touch with either malcolm from omaha area, big ken in Dallas, or Rudy j from austin to coordinate pick ups. i will get a new chain for whom ever gets us the saws.
Pittsburg State University has dorm rooms available for 20.00 a night. They are about 40 minutes from Joplin. Sorry...I don't have a specific contact. Please post if you find one.

Ok fellas not to hijack the thread but according to the news I have a tornado headed right for me. I'm off to the basement. If someone hears about a tornado touching down in Raytown and you don't hear from me for a day or two send kevin or someone to dig me out. OK? Holy crap...take care, Benno. It's been crazy here too..wave after wave of storms.. every day brings lightning/thunder/rain. It's thundering outside my window right now...must be another storm coming in but it's cold today..down in the 50s-60s. Got oak tree debris in my back yard...dead limbs stuck into the ground. Better go check the news channel on TV..thunder is getting loud again.
OK it missed us. The reports had tornados running in mulitple directions all around us. But we're good. Back to the real disaster. Oh damn the news has one aimed right at the Raven now. He hasn't got decent cell service since he moved to the country. Guess that means I'm driving to the country tomorrow. I'm the closest.
