My thoughts go out to all who have been affected. Tornados are not common in NZ thankfully. But just yesteday one hit Auckland, our biggest city. Only one dead but tens of millions of dollars worth of destruction in a matter of a few minutes.
Please don't forget the folks suffering in North Tenn. Alabama, Miss. and Georgia...me and the boys from church just returned from doing some relief up there and I can witness first hand they'll need it for years to come. Pics here are from Phil Campbell, since Tuscaloosa and the bigger towns are getting the coverage we decided to take a trip to some of the lesser heard from and were saddened to say the least. Keep'em in your thoughts and prayers and anybody able just hit the road, you won't regret...the neighborhood we worked in lost most all homes in it, this one (a young couple expecting) lost it's roof and inside was destroyed as a result. 2 days we had a roof back on it. Several of the neighbors including a 10 yr old boy and friend to them lost their lives. God Bless them! Of course I had my HAMB Radar up for any damaged rides too. Snapped these on the way home in Hackleburg, Al., they didn't look to be healthy before the destruction but sad all the same to see the pulverized sheet-metal. The towns obliterated, notice the sweet art-deco shop they used to be in in the background. Doesn't compare to loss of life and homes, but so sad to know lives were changed forever in seconds. I know first hand having been through Katrina and lost most all possessions and community underwater, we still are recovering nearly 6yrs later. Last ones of Hackleburg,Al., whats left of it. If you're from there or any of the effected area's you're in my prayers and we're coming back soon to help more...God Bless
