    Hi all.
I just picked up a Chevy inline 235ci engine for my 63' Nova wagon, and I am going to put a newly rebuilt turbo 350 transmission behind it from Super Shops (remember them? Guess they're still around!). They are advertising a rebuilt turbo 350 ****** for only $399.00 here in SoCal at the Orange County Super Shops store.

Anyway. I want to get the most out of the I6 and 3 speed ****** setup (I'm replacing a stock 194ci I6 and 2 speed powerglide). Are there any aftermarket torque converters in particular someone could reccommend purchasing for my setup? Trying to get the best performance out of this I6.

Let me know some of your suggestions form other builds or from good old know-how and experience!

    Thanks!
    Michael

Are you sure it's a 235? The same-physical-dimension Chevy 6 of that era is a 230 (my '63 Biscayne came with one).

If it's a 235, you'll need an adapter to mate the turbo350 to the motor - and probably a bunch of motor and transmount work as well.

Correct. I checked the numbers and it looks like it is a 230 - a late 69, early 70's block.
