Torque spec? ball and socket tie rods style

    What little info on have in books doesn't state anything. Is there a spec to a proper way to torque these little guys?

    I'm not sure if it matters, but this is 31-32 chevy stuff

    Tighten until it's tight, but does not bind over the full travel. But you knew that.

    My 32 Chevy manual gives the following procedure...
    "Screw the plugs in tight until the springs are compressed solid and then back the plug off to the first cotter pin hole". The springs must have the proper preload for the joint to function properly without having excessive play or bind.
