A update on the torque twisters car club from milwaukee, wi. We are alive and well. The club was started in early 1954 and there are a few original members still around the area. The club held stock in great lakes dragway in the 50's. Became a charter member of the nhra in 1959. It has great history and much of have been saved through the years---really neat reading over the minutes of a club meeting from 1955 !!!! We are in process of getting started on the 60th anniversary---1955-2015. If someone knows of a milw based club, thats been around this long, let us know. We have a current member who joined in 1960 !!!!
Husband and I were members in the 1960s, he’d love to join again, however no one calls us. Who does he get hold of? We have his original wool jacket.
