While walking around a bone yard & pulling a windshield out of a Riviera I came upon the front half of a touring body. I couldn't let it rot there, It can Rot at my place in the garden. but what the heck is it? I was thinking its a 1922 Dodge, could be an Oldsmobile though, any one know for sure. FRITZ
I think it's a Dodge as others have stated. I have doors and a cowel. How about selling me the rear section.
Man, Fritz would go apey at Model T Haven. Or hell, at that Chief lady's lot by Isle of Capri! ~Jason
Yup, its gotta be like a 1920 - 22 the Ironic thing is, its the same body Roth used to make the "Outlaw" off of. I could do a bit of welding and make a body for peanuts, LOL FRITZ
I don't know if you should rod it or leave it for yard art. Probably still cheaper than a Madonna on a Half Shell. I'm guessing it was a steal at Long Island prices. Gotta get used to that now. Bil
I've got a 1919 one that looks like that, but I think they're all very similar from 1916 or 17 through to 1922. Then they must've retooled for 23 cause they're totally different. The early ones have at least two (that I know of) dash layouts, which may help point towards its age.
It's a 1921-22 Dodge Brothers. All of the guys saying Buick look closely at the pictures, you can see the oil can bracket on the firewall, that says Dodge for sure. Also, that round reinforcement where the rod goes from the firewall to the rad screams Dodge.
It's a Dodge Brothers from the teens. Could tell for sure if I saw the dash. I have a '23 and can tell you with a 100% certainty it's not a 20's body.
If it is Dodge Bros, the plate attached in the center of the front seat reinforcement (cushion out) is only a patent plate. The serial number of the car was nailed to the right front floor board and was stamped into the crossmember immediately in front of the passenger front seat. I own a '17 DB touring car.
