I am towing a 50 Ford shoebox about 600 miles on a aluminum trailer with surge brakes with a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Installed Monroe coil over springs on the rear, and have a 5000 lb. trailer hitch. Will this work? Any concerns.

You should be fine. Be sure to check all tires for correct pressure and fluids in the tow vehicle. Also get a feel for stopping with the trailer loaded and drive accordingly. You are probably close to max on towing capacity.
The car weighs approx 3200 lbs and the trailer maybe 1500 lbs. Stop after about 30 miles or so and check tie downs and tires and also at every fuel and lunch stop.

If you will be driving in Ga. make sure you have a tag and the registration for the trailer.
