  9. That is an awesome video. Nice job making that thing work. Its so weird watching it run sitting there on the garage floor with no movement at all when you rev it.

Toymaker, I said it before, but I love this build, It's anything but cookie cutter!

    Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and yours too.
    All the best

You are a bad influence on me I think. I keep thinking two slant sixes , one forward one back , common intake and nest of snakes exhaust system going out the centre. I am going to resist the urge though for now. Apparently, so i have been informed ,i may have already too many projects.
I showed her your video. When she heard you speak and saw your big grin she said "i know someone like that." ?????

    Toymaker,
I am pleased that you used my advice on timing your engines. Mine was one of many that would work. I just thought I would pass along what I have learned from a close friend that has many years of twin engined car experience drag racing.
The next big step for you looks like chassis fab then onto tire smoke.Carry on, i'm impressed with your results.

    Merry Christmas

I was thinking it might of been one of Ford's newer Modular Cammer engines. I had thought of building one of those after a seen a Roots 6-71 manifold on Ebay, man it looked cool.

But I'll wait until the time comes when you can pick one up for Free  like the Chevys I'm using:D

Thanks everyone for your support, it truly helps keep the "Candle Burning".
    MERRY CHRISTMAS! Rocky

    Rocky,
great stuff. I am just glad that someone has the balls to do something like this rather than get on the HAMB and ask how they should build their car, or what wheels they should use. Hot rodding started out with individuals building what they wanted and figuring out how to do it along the way.
People quite often ask me how I learned to build cars and my standard answer is "By doing it". Sometimes the ideas did not work out but at least I tried (and learned). Hopefully your build will inspire some others to think outside the box and build their dreams rather than some "politically correct" copy of a bunch of other cars.

That's looking awesome and will fit right nice on my runners. I'm thinking in the Future if the 3 Carbs each ain't enough I'll add a NITROUS:eek: Nozzle in the bottom of each log! That'll wake it up!

  23. Don't get too crazy Roc, or is that an understatement?

  24. well got one complete

You are right about Ivo using the starter gears on the flywheels meshed together. The flywheels were thicker and used two ring gears, not one. It worked very well, bur remember those were the days of standard clutches, not slippers, and you smoked the tires, so the whole driveline was locked up and the tires were the slipage. I know how this worked, because when Ron Pellegrini bought the car, I was one of the crew guys.

  30. Hey Roc I hope you are going to bolt the rear in and not weld it in, remember that at some time you may have to do some work on it and unbolting it will be a lot better than than unbolting the engine assembly's and a hell of a lot lighter.........just a thought..........

    oh finished the logs today...............
