My dad has a tractor my grandpa made out of a 29 Chevy truck. He made two of them. The other one we've lost track of. He built them because during the Depression of course they had no money and then during the war years you couldn't buy a new tractor even if you had the cash. I've sat down and just looked at it on several occassions. It's hella crude by today's standards, but when you realize all the guy had was a torch and stick welder(one of the first in the county) it's pretty amazing. My dad has a bunch of antique tractors. Grandpa's is the only one that interests me in the least. It has a blade on the front of it. I'd like to get it and use it as a snow moving toy someday. BTW, I think yours is International.
That's just plain cool! Actually "looks" like a tractor and not just something they threw together. Justin
It appers to be a continental "L" head. It's the same motor as in a Lincoln 200 amp welder. Does it have a mag or distributor?
willowbilly, If the touring (mid 20's Chevrolet) has the front suspension, I need the spindles and hubs!!!
