Jim, you are a glutton for punishment. Project rich you are.Is the gmc next or is it still in one piece?;) Like i have room to talk eh.

  2. Nice score bro, these are so sweet. Here is a shot of my bros 34. He is 2nd chance here on the board, the second shot is of his custom bike he built. Sorry for the poor quality of the pix. Best wishes with your rig. ~sololobo~

  3. Bwahahaha...believe it or not. The reason the GMC is still in original configuration is because of the 34. That GMC motivated me to trade the 55. GMC belong's to Falcon :) I have my own old truck now!!!

Rocky when I bought this back in the early 80s the only tie between the 2 rails except for the original front and rear cross members was a piece of 4" channel iron bolted to the bottom of the rails to catch the trans mount.:D The original X member was completely missing.

This is a 32 frame but I found an NOS frame kit for it by the same company. Today people most just buy a repro frame

Love the '32-'34 Ford PU's! I had a super nice '34 once upon a time. Like so many others, I let it slip through my fingers... Good score!

  16. Bought a 33 frame somebody did similar handy work on...boxed a frame from a car that had been totaled...way too much heat and no brains. Since then been repairing it and am almost to where it can be mocked up. Used Ford F-1 hardware and built pockets in frame for leafs to set into. Worked slick.

You gotta love those trucks! I bought mine in Hanford CA a small recycler ad just said 34 ford truck chopped, built in 60s been sitting 30 years flat tires! 6000.00 Firm! Well this was 1999-2000 I hooked up trailer & went to pick it up next day! Wow I get there & guy took parents truck they left him both built it story goes wife on one side husband on other side single hacksaw blade & chopped this truck together! Kid put it in garage & filled bed with cat litter rolled windows down & let 30 cats live in garage & truck you know the story! I shit when I saw it so cool & yet abused! Anyway a lot of washing & bleach & 6 months sitting in sun & the cat piss smell went away! This is one cool truck with alot of sweat & love put it in by two old Hot Rodders! Pics Tks Bill

  21. You aren't kidding! Very cool little pickup!

  22. Looking good! What frame was under your truck?

  23. Thanks Chris...my best guess is part homemade(front rails), mid section was chunks of 55-57 Chevy car frame, mid. rear rails appeared to be Ford Courier/ Datsun?, and very rear homemade. Corvair front suspension and 55-57 Chevy rear end & leafs, 60-62 chevy truck clutch/brake master cylinder... I will give them an A+ on resourcefulness...F-on application. 24. Progress on 34 chassis... It is almost straight again and I now have some good flat washers made from old Ford steel!

How ironic, I did exactly the same thing on the other side of the world man, swapped my 55 chev coupe for a chopped 34 pickup! Too cool
