20230523_080427[1].jpg 20230605_104738[1].jpg loved the roadster it will be missed it was a glass car but would not have enjoyed it anymore if it had been a steel Henry Ford car. drove it about 1300 miles the last 2 weeks. I have always wanted a 36 ford & now have one.

  2. Very cool, room for friends!

after a wash job , top removal & wheel & tire change. looks way better in the photo than it is in person. plan for a lot of miles after a some finishing up and repairs. 302 ford AOD unmentionable front end 36 rear with hyd brakes & open drive. defiantly not a belly button car 20230605_211531[1].jpg

  5. @Hamtown Al , I thought you might want to follow this thread and add your thoughts as things progress.

I saw the '32 this past weekend, and look forward to seeing the '36 down the road.

    Hey @tim troutman
That is a great trade that you made.
As cool as the roadster is, this cool
"PHEATON" is a very snazzy ride indeed.
It looks as cool with the top on, as it does with the top off !
    Thanks for sharing the photo's.

  12. And it’s “Henry Ford” steel! I like the fact that it’s powered by Ford also.
What are your plans for it?

  13. If you've always wanted a 36 Ford, you did real good finally getting one! Nice ride.

    Y'all know I like the deal!:) 36 Fords rule!!;):D
Gerry Burger has certainly turned an old 36 phaeton I had into an excellent hot rod!!
Some of y'all might have seen it in some of the tech articles he's done in the Modern Rodding magazine and on-line on their website.

Thanks, Phil, for bringing this to my attention... I need all the help I can get these days! Hopefully Tim will add it to the 36 Fords thread.;)

Hot Rods - Let's have our own 87th anniversary event for the 36 ford... | The H.A.M.B. (jalopyjournal.com)

I look forward to following the progress... he's off to a great start!!

plans for the immediate future are to get it to where I can drive it & feel good about it I finished putting the TV cable on & adjusted it. put the tags on.welded a spot on the frame & steering .I am going to leave the body alone except for the grille I would like to get it lined up a little ,the body & paint are an old amateur restoration but looks ok from a distance . over the winter maybe parallel spring & an 8" the frame is soft in some spots that need some attention I have a set of rebel sprints I would like to get on it someday . after a short drive I know the shifter needs work & fuel issues. but I think I am done for the day

Sweet and a great swap. I too have a car with an unmentionable front end and have started to collect parts to change it out. Another though if you are going swap the rear think about an 8.8 too :) Good luck with it!

I have cleaned the carb out it was full of crud surprised it ran at all .put another filter up by the carb .drove the car 20 to 30 miles runs pretty good now. hooked up the volt gauge today . not charging even though it had a new 1 wire alternator on it. put on an AC Delco that looked freshly rebuilt it didn't work took them apart and put the 1 wire regulator in the AC after checking it out the best I could and its now working!

went for a real test drive today to the grocery & to eat thought I thought I might get it aligned but felt it pull when the brakes were applied. I looked under it & the bushings in the front were destroyed all new with less than 50 miles on them. called Southern rods sent some photos have new ones on the way. Vics was closed so had White castles 20230620_164613[1].jpg
