Great thread! Are you using a 39 trans in the stock k member?

Right now $250.00 and I have a set on the shelf.

Some may have noticed on the lower flange of the K-legs a bolt pattern near the center of the X. This is going to be for mounting rear ladder bars for cars with an open drive line. This could also be used to mount another type of trans if you didn't want to use the stock 32 style trans mount.

There will also be a reinforcement flange bolted between this area and the stock brake pivot bracket holes for splitting the front wishbone. I will have pictures of this next week as soon as they're done.

Right now I have a LOAD of rendering to do for a front IFS clip on the 41 Packard you can see in the background.

    Nice work, El P.

Been thinking about some bolt in rear legs for a while.. Now I've seen your setup I can see what I need to do now.

Things are slowing down unfortunately, but now I can get these pet projects done. You may even see an update on the Roach Rod soon..

Anyway. I had to go back and edit some of the original files I had created. Here is the amended version of the kit and the new bolt on bracket to accommodate splitting the wishbones to clear such things as the starter on the Wilcap adapter.

I just received the torque ball and retainers, spindles and brake pedal gear. Now to shorten the driveline and get some juice brakes on this thing.

looks awesome, you have some great ideas going on. I love the bolt in k member supports and the mounting points for the split bones too.

Jeeez! I really enjoy watching master fabricators at work...for me, it's kinda like watching a painter at work on a masterpiece...amazing stuff, can't wait to see what's next-thanks for the great pics!

As usual Steve, great fabrication work..Do you plan on having the center mount also available? A perfect companion to the rear frame rails on a traditional build.

Yes, all of these parts are going to be available as I complete them.

I will have some alternative pieces as I go like mounts for a rear wishbone, that is if someone can give me a few measurements on either Pete & Jakes or SoCal rear ladder bars.

I spent the last couple of hours measuring the torque tube. Then cutting it into three pieces and washing it out in the wash tank. The rear we are using here is from a '46 so I need to take 18.75" out of it. And while I'm at it, removing the center bearing.
