NONAME,i think you missed my point.Traditional style, covers a broad spectrum of ideas.Hot rods evolved, what happened in the 30'smight mean something" different" in the 50's.I was trying to the make the point, that too many people have this right or wrong at***ude, but back then, just like now everyone had their own ideas. To each their own.And by the way,i am also old enough to have experienced car hop service, and miss it too.
Pub sits in the bleachers and eats his popcorn watching the mayhem take place below with mild amu*****t.
I come here to see and learn about traditional cars period, why does everything today have to be all inclusive and watered down? I like other cars, streetrods, exotics, rockcrawlers, whatever and respect their builders. but whats wrong with one site in the world dedicated to old school hotrods? My 37 doesnt really fit here with a MII front and crate engine, and i'm totally cool with that. and i'm not here to be in a clique, or earn a seal of approval for my roadster. I sure don't have an elitist at***ude, I just really really love old style traditional cars.
Don't fight it, HAMB'rs. It's the compe***ive nature of the human animal to be MORE or BETTER than the next guy. We all strut around pounding our chests. Before long, a nice low-key hobby or lifestyle(?) has turned into yet another HOLIER than THOUGH slug fest. Hey man, I'm a much bigger ELITIST snob than you are!! HAHAHA Sometimes it's easy to get too caught up in this or that, step back every once in a while so you can see the bigger picture. I know I need to do that from time to time....
