Steering wheel knobs Gas cap exhaust cutouts You know, there is a lot of interest in whitewalls now. Folks are painting, sanding, etc to get whitewalls. I remember a period when whitewalls were not popular, and we were mounting the tires reversed, so the white was on the inside.
The point I was making is simply that tradition changes with the times. When I first logged onto the Hamb it was full of flat black red rimmed autos. Not so much anymore. We're moving on. The hot rod art is a fluid thing, and what is cool today will possibly be laughed at in the future. Placing a corvette small block in your car was really forward thinking and the ultimate in cool in the 60's. Today the small block chevy is looked upon as "cookie cutter" I'm still a ****er for fender skirts, tunneled antennas, lakes pipes and tubular grilles. It'll be interesting to see how what we are doing today reads into the future- What sticks and what slides off.
