  4. If you want to brush paint it then you might have the wrong site.

There are some good threads on brush painting. I was very impressed with how some of them turned out. This site never ceases to amaze me with peoples talents and out of the box thinking. Welcome from Minnesota.

As a newby I read Ryans intro as soon as I came aboard and you guys sounded hard core with your ''if ya think the beach boys and a t-bucket is traditional you can piss off'', and that suits me just fine,my 39 runs a warm flathead 6,blanket int' and is SPRAYED satin black...pretty traditional style rod ...I was just being a bit of a smart **** about maybe a true 50's back yard rod would have been hand painted in the driveway..just a joke, ok guys? pete

Hey Pete, Welcome. I run a flat 6 in my '50 Wayfarer Convertible. ****er starts better than all my "newer" rides. Your "less masking up" comment made me laugh out loud.

pete , the older hot rods were much different than todays . no after market parts & was primarily built by the owner with what he had . do not take **** over your car ! its yours & reflects you . mine is a 1940's hot rod , more or less . no frills , $$$$ paint , etc. i do with what i can do & what i have ............... steve

    Hi Pete
A bit of advice from someone who often places foot in mouth. If you were joking about the brush painting and asking Rayn if "it's traditional enough" there seems to be a tinge of smart *** sarcasm. We, as a group, appreciate humorous bits and pieces, but you have got to be careful choosing your words. And an FNG should be super careful. This is the internet, written words with no smile, no inflection. Ease into this whole deal and you'll probably be okay. But, dive in headfirst and you will most likely hit your head on the edge of the pool.
