I am needing some inspriation for an upcoming project and would like some pictures of traditional flames. I am looking for flames that are very fat and simple. Thanks for any help I can get. Nato
Here's my old 53 chevy truck. We did them, I like them. One with hubcaps, and one without caps and front bumper when it was first finished.
I used to do some of flame jobs on Hot Rods and Bikes around this area, unfortunatly I used to drink to ,........ in 1978 I had just painted this 71 Charger as a daily driver, Black with Black window tint ( when it was still legal ). one Friday night my buddy Mark and I got back from "The Club" and all the way back to his house we slured about doing flames on it when we got back,......... we got out the supply's and a couple pints of Jack,........ 7:00 A.M. the next morning this and some killer hangovers is what we had to show for it. (oops that was the "before shot") Fast forward to 2005, A kid at church asks me about how to do a flame job on his bike,....... I start explaining it to him ,...... when I am sure he ain't getting anything I am saying, I tell him to bring it over and leave it a couple days,...... Almost forgot,....... a picture of my son in a pedal car I did for him years and years ago,....... can you see a general theme here ?
I painted this eight years ago- under some street lights outside a body-shop I used to work at... it started out with a fifties high school kid simple flame job that ended up a little out of control... I hated the red flames and just started putting more flames over the top till it looked right to me... after I put the blue flames on this dude with a Anglia drove up and said 'sarcastically' ... "Now all you need are some psychedelic green flames down the side" and did his stoner laugh and drove off... haha... I thought it was a great idea- I used to paint everything in sight with flames when I was younger- now I'm just not into them as much unless they're full on KANDY. Tuck
