  17. With the rods and pistons on the shelf, I'd say he is installing them and that device helps him turn the crank to align them.

  23. Let’s see. That’s one quart per cylinder, so that’s settled, now I just have to advance the timing a half degree, quarter turn on the air/fuel, a half turn on the idle , flip on the magneto and I’m done.
