Had a good friend buy a 1969 396/375 engine several years ago... Asked me after he bought it to come over and check the numbers to verify if it was a 375hp engine and what it originally came out of. The webbing between the lifters was cracked from front to rear just like that. I hated to tell him the block would make a great boat anchor and nothing else.

 

I'd fill that crack with JB Weld...and then sell it, quickly. Very quickly.
