It’s a crying shame that there aren’t more photos of Sam Barris plying his craft. This particular photo is from an article TRJ did many years ago regarding the early days of Barris’ shop.

 

While taking in this pic posted by @j hansen of the injected 6 cylinder roadster, I was looking at the background. That Chevy wagon with fake wood on the sides is wearing big block flags!

chevy57dude, I have that exact same wagon sitting here in my shop. I've owned it for close to 30 years. Big block, 400 turbo, 12 bolt posi, AC, PS, PB. All factory. Mine even has the same bent front bumper. I thought maybe it could be my car, as mine came from Southern CA., but mine has a factory roof rack.

 

Guess he didn’t have a Clay Smith Cam…
