    Hello,

We were always interested in rear engine roadsters. The big huffing motor right behind the race car driver, the low seating going fast with the ground so close in front and the air buffeting your helmet. The normal passenger car seat was in another world, compared to this type of low slung build.

Holly Hedrich and driver, Bob McClure attacked the records as well as possible considering the competition. Enjoying flames as much as I have over the years, a colorful, tasteful application on the Maroon rear engine roadster is always a neat design. This multi-yellow flames against a maroon background made it stand out from any direction.

The Hedrich/McClure roadster went on to other paint designs, but this one version was the best... (As far as being colorful for eye catching attention.) The Hedrich-McClure rear engine roadster made believers out of a lot of people.

There have been many versions of this modified roadster. This was the one that we saw in magazines during our time at the drag strips.

There will always be similarities comparing the two top modified roadsters in drag racing. It reminded us of the Speed Sport Special that we saw in 1959-60. As the time capsules collide and years later there was a race to see who was the fastest on that day.
