Why is the exhaust larger than the engine? Jet? Aircraft engine? I don't see radiator hoses either. I know the title of the thread but I am in need of further explanation

 

The builder (name?) was a Boeing engineer and he adapted a military surplus Boeing turbine to his Deuce.

At one time this car was in the possession of or being displayed by Harold LeMay in his original collection in Tacoma Washington.

 

Here we have a man who basically represents a small piece of hot rod/ drag racing history. Everything he did in life will never be forgotten.
