Anyone know the 1965 M/T 4-cam SBC story?

  7. ^^^^I believe Tom Mcmullen had one in his roadster for a short time. Supposedly the engine was very noisy, not in a good way.

Tom built his second ‘32 highboy, resembling the car that ran the SBC and then the blown FE Ford but it was that second roadster that ran a Moser 4 cam SBC, not the M/T Indy engine. I don’t recall much about the Moser but Harvey Crane had some engineering input on that project.

Those were I think rear steer; must have been a little weird handling?

  13. There is a 32 5 window out of the L.A. area that is original paint,or at least a very old repaint, and a 4 cyl car. I saw the car over 25 years ago when the hotrods returned to Muroc, Edwards Airforce base. I'm pretty sure this is that car. That's not an old picture. And no I'm not complaining because it's not an old picture. It's a very cool picture, and a very cool car.

  21. MT was very committed to running stock-blocks at Indy and these heads were part of the attempt to even things up with the Novi and Offy engines. Unfortunately the Indy Fords showed up and dominated for many years.
