Grayhound Bus Company had those custom made trams built to provide tours of the 1933-‘34 Century of Progress held on Chicago’s lake front.

Another scene from the Century of Progress, Chevrolet’s assembly line. If they wanted buyers could order a car, travel to the fair to see it assembled and then drive home.
As a side note Ford had no presence at the 1933 fair, Henry Ford was waffling back and forth and couldn’t make up his mind. When fair officials said time was running out for planning finally Edsel convinced old Dad to have an exhibit, an assembly line. Uh, too late, Chevrolet is doing that. Hank, being stubborn said fine then, we won’t be there. When the fair was a resounding success and held over for another year the missed opportunity was realized and they put together a wonderful exhibit.

Ray Brown’s roadster ran as a lakester, I guess because of the rear engine? Here’s another photo, the flathead looks to be a V8-60.

They're back and running again under their own set of rules and classes including engine sizes and gas and fuel classes. According to my 2022 Rule Book, the fastest of them is Chavon(sp?) Emmons C (370")/Blown Fuel Rear Engine Modified Roadster at 316.002 MPH. Gotta be the fastest Model T.

My FED doesn't have the bodywork forward of the firewall, but the heavy-flake is similar, and colour too (mine a little darker purple).
