Is it recommended to run a ****** cooler in addtion to the cooler built into the bottom of my radiator?
It is a stock 36 rad that has been re cored to make it pressurized as well as add the ****** cooler.

It seems with it in low under hard acceleration, I get a whiff of ****** fluid, and I think I may be overheatng it.
    Thanks

does the transmission have a high stall torque converter? does the car have a high hp engine?

if not, then you probably don't need an additional cooler. You could add one if you want. But that's not why you smell trans fluid...look for a leak, and make sure it's not overfilled

What he said. I think you're fine with the trans cooler built in to the radiator. Look at your trans fluid, If it's nice and cough-syrupy looking, then you're probably not overheating it. If it's brown, then you are.

    350 engine
    10:1 comp pistons
    480 lift cam
    holley 4 bbl
    .030

    Powerglide trans
stock stall which is 17-1900 I believe.

No sign of leak or drops when sitting.
****** color is red red red.

The car bogs when in low, but the motor does not race, but rather sounds like the valves are floating, if that makes sense, I may need to readjust them.
I adjsted the band by tightning the band ajuster to 72 inch punds and backing it off 4 turns.

It is a manual shift and it bogs in low, but runs ok in 2nd. The RPM's drop and I was not sure if it was slipping due to heat or something else.

I would expect a car with a stall speed that is 1000 rpm too low for the cam, to bog.

So it may just be the converter?
    What actually happens?
