So I the first time I jack the front up on this new project buick ( 57 buick), Tranny fluid just starts flowing out of the torque ball housing like a faucet stream. WTH After reading numerous posts on the web I've come to the conclusion that this is a major pain in the ass to replace requiring the removal of torqe tube/rear end and special tools to pull the pinion shaft. Anybody ever done this?

Yep! I have a 60 buick and did it! I didn't have any special tools at all! It was a bitch, but I figured it out! Had to drop my rear end and push it back until the the drive shaft came out, then replaced the seal and stuff, had to get a different torque ball due to a flat spot on the ball it self! really don't remember much of what I did, but it was 10 years ago and I was 17 and it still hasn't leaked yet!
