tranny fluid question

i just picked up a 57 olds rocket 88 and it seems to be low on ****** fluid. what type of trans fluid do i need to use. its a 371 w/ hydra-matic transmision.

Type "A" if you can find it A has been replaced by Dextron.

 

Dexron was replaced by Dexron III

 

Wasn't Dextron one of the Type "A" humanoids or something in Star Wars? Regards, Ron
