Trying to identify this top loader trans.

 

A google search of the case casting number came up as 37 Buick, per this HAMB thread;

This claims to be a 1938 Buick Century transmission.

37-38 Buick Century case. An Olds 51-61 selector gear gut will fit inside it and convert it to open drive making it a very sturdy traditional trans swap.

 

What did you decide to do with that trans.
