just picked up a 351w and i need a tranny.. want a manual, yet what would you reccomend? and what all do i need to run it? thanks!
I ran a Richmond 6 speed. My rear end was a 3:42. With the 3:27 first gear, it was quick off the line and with the .76 sixth gear, I could cruise the freeway like I had 2:76's.
What rearend gear, what tire size, what is your performance goal, what power level are you putting out in the 351W? Lot of questions need more detail for a best answer. Without any details, I would say to strongly consider an overdrive trans. Just make suire the rest of the drivetrain is matched.
