I found this trans adapter and need help identifying it, please. It appears to be a SBC to early Ford, but I'm not sure as all the ones I've seen from searches have 8 holes for the trans to bolt to rather than the 9 or 10 this adapter has. This one is also cast iron as opposed to aluminum. If anyone could shed any light on this I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

  2. For early cast iron Power glide trans, 55 thru 61. Trans Dapt use to make some adaptors that needed that part for their adaptors, I have one to adapt to the 54 and earlier Chev six cyl trans.

Hot damn! That was quick! Thanks a lot. Google Image came up with a few pics including the one attached that has a picture including that piece. Thanks for the help daveydeuce. I found it in the salvage yard. Should I pick it up? I don't need it, but maybe someone does that won't find it at the bottom of the pile that I found it.

  5. Not to popular anymore, see them now and then at swap meets and never see anyone buy them. Not sure what you would use it for cept garage art.
