I built a '36 Pontiac sedan for my son and it HAD to have honeycombs. I stripped the gold powder coating making them 'raw'. Anyone else use them?
We had an '80 TA dressed like that. Didn't have the honeycombs, had the turbo mags. Really a beautiful car but was a total piece of junk! Parts just fell off it. I polished thru the black paint just waxing it. Heavy doors sagged badly.
Agreed! Utter garbage! I have had many, I actually own a door jack for rebuilding the damn hinges on those 1 ton doors. Bodies rust out everywhere due to the exorbitant "dum dum" squirted in all the panels which collects water and rots them out, particular behind the doors. Inner and outer wheel houses, trunk drops, etc. Body by Fisher, not the "mark of excellence" they were shooting for in the late 70's. Worth a lot of money though so we do what we have to do.
Oh, and since I’m a Pontiac guy, and this isn’t a Pontiac website, I’ll be understanding These are not honeycomb rims, they’re snowflake rims. THESE are honeycomb rims-
Also being a Pontiac guy, I agree other than the rim vs. wheel comment and definitely have to laugh at the connotation that "snowflake" now has. Thankfully, all the offended guys here have likely left by now...
