I bought a bunch of parts at an estate sale and in it was a Trans-Dapt engine adapter kit with the part # 690042. Does anybody have an old Trans-Dapt catalog showing the application for this?
No I don't, but there was a thread on here called something like: I'm positive you can't ID this. And HAMB did. So give it a go with some pics. It's Very possible someone can ID something! If it's Chevy put @squirrel in it!
I just checked my 1987 Trans-dapt catalog and no 690042 they are all 4 digit numbers. So it may be after 87. Do you have a picture of it with the name and number? Pat
The label on the box is what has the 690042 number - the adapter itself is stamped with TD 25 93- here's a couple pics.
SWAG method here........but I suspect that is for a late '40s/'50s/'60s era Jeep trans to maybe a Chevy V8 or some such. Also, I think the adaptor, as pictured, is upside down. I say that because of the lube 'drain back' slot for the front bearing. Ray
Thanks, I got this with a bunch of old Mallory NOS stuff, Mr. Gasket, etc. There's an offroad place in town here, I'll go see if they're interested in it.
Looks pretty similar to this Jeep one ... http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Garag...dapt-Chevy-V8-To-Jeep-T-90-3-Speed,54515.html
