What ratio is the rear end, providing you are going to use it,in the car.The OD models came with a 4:11 rear The standards were 3:73's or 3:54's Keep them both, somebody wants either. Sparky

here's the deal i bought this 49 ford 2dr coupe from this man and it was his father's car he pulled the orginal engine out(running)so he could restore it but he lost interst in it because he got 1967 gto. he has already sandblasted and primered it but he put it outside on top of a huge piece of broiler plate.the only bad rust is on the passenger door.in this great deal i get an extra trans that is nothing wrong with either but i beleive is stock. which ever one i use i would like to trade the other for parts for the 49. i am going to make it a mild custom

In need of some advise: Overdrive Transmission for a 5.0L V8 '93 Cougar drops out (total loss of power, engine revs) once you hit 3rd gear. Normal drive works fine. Is there an Electronic solenoid that controls shifting (if so where), or anything else that could cause?
