transdapt valve covers

    anyone seen Transdapt finned valve covers for a SBC? are they worth a shit? i'm on the hunt for no name covers with no holes and the cal custom ones are to hard to find....just want some insite before i drop the cash.

    i guess i'm getting picky, i checked out the mooneyes covers and i don't like the way the finnes don't go all the way down the sides. i guess i really dig the cal custom ones and the TD's come pretty close.
     
  4. I would be real concerned about where those transdapt covers are made. The crap coming out of China and Tiawan aint worth the power to blow it to Hell. I bought a pair of edelbrock finned covers a ( the good ones with no holes) about 20 years ago a swap meet and when I cleaned all the sludge out of them I saw the words " made in japan". Those damn covers never fit right , and leaked oil right thru the porous castings. needless to say, the are wall hangers now. Mike
