    To me,sometimes the things that come up in the heads of newer car guys,not very offten any more on the plant I grew up on :rolleyes:. Florida Donk,a style that kind of a off growth of swampbuggys and=Low riders that are now super high riders>ya,likely need step latter to get in even. WOW ,aaaa not to me,but some love it..:eek:

    For me, Larry Watson was the turning point, though early 60s styling from other builders like the Alexander Bros. were also relevant and were putting out trimmer cars with less gaudy mods. Watson's paint style, coupled with the more aggressive stance, was the look.

    Seems guys finally got the ride height right in the mid to late 50s.
    Crazy paint + stupid low + the Cali car height law……bam. Adjustable coolness

    This was at the Petersen in the Low Rider exhibit and it.is.stunning in person.
