Been asking around for a good transmission match for my 292 in a 50' 3/4 ton GMC. Running a full race cam, q-jet, longtubes, and an offy intake so im not real sure if a th350 would hold together for very long. This is my first 292 build so im kinda stuck on where to go from here. Been getting A LOT of mixed advice so if you have any experience with these motors that would be a big plus. Thanks.

So run a TH-400. Either a 350 or a 400 can be built to last behind that engine. The 400 has more inherent strength to begin with.
