I unbolted it from a 57 312 that had a carb id that did match 1957 ford 4v code I want to sell thes parts but need to know there value first. HELP FELLOW HAMBER'S I know someone out there knows . thank's Johnrodz
here's a pic of the bellhousing that is part of a 57 tbird restoration....does yours look like this? it also shows the overdrive trans, might be different than the non-overdrive, which is more likely to be a Ford trans instead of a BW trans.
According to my Hollinders (sorry, don't have it here to look up numbers) the Tbird trannys have a course spline output shaft (Something like 18 tooth) and the regular passinger car has the more common fine spline (28?tooth), same as a later C-4. Found that out when I went to fit the driveshaft to the 4 speed in my 57 Ranchero, of course somewhere it got the course spine so I had to buy a yoke for the toploader.
